Big news. Zoe’s number scroll is officially taller than her and almost as tall as me. She’s well into the 1000’s writing her numbers and today she discovered the number 1,111. First Grade felt like a really high tech place to be today! We were lucky enough to have Julie, a marine biologist from Washington (who also happens to be Henry and Jackson’s aunt!), visit us via Skype to do a presentation on the amazing animals she has seen and studied. She spoke to the students and answered their many questions while going through a Power Point presentation that had beautiful pictures and a video of many underwater animals. She’s even been swimming with sharks! Wow! It was inspiring to see and learn about the many adventurous things she’s done as a marine biologist. We learned a lot from her fun presentation.
